How Jourlo Started

It began with frustration. We were paying $80 a year for a journaling app that kept asking us to enable AI features we did not want. Every update seemed to add more tracking, more cloud dependencies, more reasons to worry about who was reading our most private thoughts.

So we started building. Not to start a company—just to solve our own problem. A journal that opens instantly. That works offline. That never uploads anything. That you pay for once and actually own.

We shared it with friends. They shared it with their friends. Now thousands of people use Jourlo every day to record their lives without surveillance.
